IFP School participates in the ACPV Cup 2012

    October 9, 2012

IFP School has taken part in the 33rd ACPV 2012 regatta, which took place at La Trinité sur Mer from the 5th to the 8th of October.

This year's regatta brought together 24 competitors. IFP School and the subsidiary IFP Training were represented by the yacht Zouave

The ship's crew was composed of seven people, including Adrien Goud, currently a student on the Energy and Markets program, François Isopet, who graduated from IFP School in 2012 on the Energy and Powertrains program, and Pierre Duret, Director of the IC Engines and Hydrocarbon Utilizations Center.

Two other IFP School graduates took part in the race: Bruno Valeri (DEG 2008), skipper of the yacht Perenco 1, and Anders Laederich, (ENEP 2011), skipper of the yacht Total SA.

Despite difficult weather, the IFP School-IFP Training yacht finished 7th in the general rankings, calculated from the 9 best races of the regatta. The Zouave also won the hotly contest "night race."

"I want to congratulate the crew for their dedication, motivation, perseverance in trying to get the best possible result every time, and doing so with good humor and fair play towards the other competitors" said skipper Pierre Duret.
