IFP School students finish 7th at Energy Trading challenge

    March 17, 2017

Two IFP School students finished 7th out of 26 teams at the 2017 Energy Trading Challenge in London.

The event took place on 24th and 25th February 2017 at the ESCP London campus. Christopher Hapchuk and Alexander Restrepo are dual degree students studying Petroleum Economics and Management at IFP School and at the Colorado School of Mines.

This year was the first challenge of its kind, developed through a partnership between ESCP Europe and Smart Global (Energy Trading & Education consultants).  The competing students were given the opportunity to participate in two 8-hour days of trading scenarios representing two full months in the energy industry. Students also had the chance to interact and learn from experienced industry professionals.
