Pétrofolies 2016 : Solidarity, Responsibility, Openness, Fairplay

    June 6, 2016

On Thursday 26th May 2016 IFP School’s traditional Pétrofolies sports day event took place, gathering the 2016 Class students and the School staff. Organized by the Student Association (BDE), and supported by the IFP School Alumni Association and the Société Générale – the BDE’s partner bank –, this event blended competitiveness, team spirit and solidarity through a sporting challenge at the Stade du Parc in Rueil-Malmaison indulging in entertaining activities such as football, volleyball, rugby, ultimate Frisbee, life-size foosball and sumo wrestling.

After a picnic on the lawn, the students started off the afternoon with the traditional Color Run aiming at raising funds for IFP School’s Class gift. This funding initiative allows for an international student joining the School next fall to benefit from an Excellence Scholarship. An amount of 375€ was raised thanks to the participation of students from the different programs (the RGE program was the first provider of enrolled students).

This year the prizes promoted IFP School’s core values, rewarding the students for their sense of solidarity, responsibility, openness and fairplay. Philippe Pinchon, the School Dean, Jean Sentenac, the new President of the IFP School Alumni Association, and Sylvain Letoffé, Société Générale manager for the youth audience market, were present to award the prizes and bring to a close this entertaining event.
