The IFP School SPE Student Chapter wins an SPE International award

    June 19, 2015

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) has given its Gold Standard Award to the IFP School SPE Student Chapter (2015 Class) for its exceptional dynamism and commitment.

Created in 1996, the IFP School SPE Student Chapter is the oldest chapter in France. Extremely active within the School, it seeks to promote the exchange of technical knowledge amongst students through conferences and meetings with professionals from the energy sector.

It has, at present, 40 active members, mainly from the Petroleum Engineering and Project Development and Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering programs.

This year, the SPE Student Chapter has organized numerous events, including a study trip to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, a visit to the headquarters of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Vienna and a Solidarity Run in aid of the 2015 Class Gift.

It is the second time that the SPE Student Chapter has been awarded this distinction – the Chapter won the award in 2013. Congratulations to all the team!
