Energy and Markets study trip in London

    February 27, 2014

12 students from the IFP School's Energy and Markets program (ENM) spent a few days in London from 19 to 23 February 2014 in order to discover the activities of several companies in the Oil and Gas field.

On the agenda was a visit to EDF Energy to discover its activities on the United Kingdom market, followed by a presentation of economic analysis models and consulting activities at Wood Mackenzie. The students also took part in a trading exercise in BP IST. They then went to Total Gas & Power where they had an overview of Total's position on the markets.

During their stay, students also had the opportunity to do some networking. They met up with students from the Earth Science and Engineering department at Imperial College London and with former students of the ENM program now working in London.

Study trips are an integral part of IFP School's industry-oriented training, complementing the knowledge acquired during courses at the School.
