Energy and markets

Program language

The reality today is that energy-related issues and debates around the validity and sustainability of current development models are inextricably linked. As key energy transition players, energy and transport sector companies are displaying industrial drive.

In both sectors – energy and transport – the decision-making process is conducted within an increasingly globalized and competitive context. It is also becoming an ever more complex process that will play an increasingly important role in shaping the future. Given the extent of the technological, social and environmental challenges they face, these industries will continue to need talented professionals who, in addition to solid scientific knowledge, will have a sound grasp of the relevant economic and financial issues. It is against this backdrop that the Energy and Markets program was designed.

By opting for the Energy and Markets program, you will be continuing the journey you have already begun, broadening your expertise in synergy with your technical background. We are offering you the opportunity to contribute a cross-cutting approach to energy and transport markets, introducing you to economic analysis and giving you a thorough understanding of the main tools of management and finance.

Case studies, incompany placements, lecturers from companies, privileged links with the industrial world, etc., our entire pedagogical approach is geared up to the development of your operational expertise. As you go through the program at IFP School, industry becomes your day-to-day partner. In fact, it is a player in its own right within the context of your training thanks to the apprenticeship system and the financial support provided to cover tuition fees.

The Energy and Markets program opens up a broad range of career opportunities in terms of both sector (oil, gas, electricity, energy and CO2 trading, transport, consultancy, corporate banking, etc.) and position offered. By developing your capacity to adapt to the challenges of the future, it will not be long before a raft of opportunities to access managerial positions becomes available to you.
